Jeremy Kirk joined Cheadles LLP as a summer student in May 2021. He has completed his second year of law school at the University of Ottawa. Jeremy was born and raised in Thunder Bay.
Jeremy has particular interests in civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution. These interests have led him to compete in both the Rick Weiler Mediation Competition and the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada – an international sports law moot. Jeremy hopes to represent Ottawa Law in more moots during his final year of law school. He also serves as a Teaching Assistant.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, summa cum laude, from the University of North Dakota. Attending on an athletic scholarship, Jeremy was a member of North Dakota’s Division I golf team. He served as team captain during his junior and senior seasons.
In his free time, Jeremy enjoys golfing, cheering on his Toronto Maple Leafs, and spending time with his family and friends.
Jeremy chose to pursue a career in law because of his passion for advocacy. He looks forward to learning from the experienced lawyers and staff at Cheadles LLP.
